Our final website allows a meeting of the creative minds! Sourcing our participants through our own social and social media circles, Sarah and I have created the Inspiration Grid. I am very excited about the wide range of videos we received - attesting to the idea that inspiration can come from multitudes of sources. Having all of the videos collected in one place has truly created a concept of community and epitomizes how digital media can be used to share ideas and make a positive impact. The concept leads me to consider what a self-sufficient Inspiration Grid project could look like - where similar to YouTube or other video sharing sites, creatives could upload their own videos creating a bigger and bigger network where if you were ever at a road block in your personal work, or even had some time to kill, you could go to one curated source to get your mind working.

Thanks for sharing this website with us and all the efforts. It is a great resource for artist or designer to get inspirations from. I like the way you guys organize the interface and the contents that you provided. The concept that connecting designer and artist together in the social platform so that they can share their aesthetic with us is pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing resource for anyone, artist or not! I loved the way you guys explored communal story-telling because, to me, each video comes together as one collective work that describes a community of people. I would love to see this work continue with other forms that aren't just video inspirations. Perhaps another tab can be added on the page that includes favorite photos or art illustrations. I just believe the communal grid format is simply too appealing to pass up using for other things.
