MUSEUM OF THE MOVING IMAGE
Located in Queens, NY, the Museum of the Moving Image both honors the history of past technologies, as well as showcases and teaches the innovations of the modern technologies used to create film, television and digital media. Its exhibitions cover topics ranging from the history of filmmaking, video games, "net.art" (art that uses the internet as an art material), animation, internet culture, to creative instillations of GIFs. The Museum also promotes the understanding of technology through their educational outreach program at the Ann and Andrew Tisch Education Center and uses a variety of websites as platforms for online projects and exhibitions to utilize technology itself to educate on a global scale.
